State home school convention to be held on campus
Harding University will host the Arkansas Home School Convention forthe 13th-straight year May 20-21. More than 1,000 parents and students
are expected to attend.
The event is organized by The Education Alliance, a division of Family
Council, and will feature workshops and demonstrations on a variety of
topics in Ganus Athletic Center. Numerous vendors from across the
nation will offer the very latest in educational materials as well as
supplementary materials for after school and summer activities. There
will also be a used curriculum sale where parents can sell old books
and purchase new ones.
Featured speakers include Phil Downer and Dr. Fred Worth.
The convention will wrap up May 21 with graduation ceremonies for home
school students at 6:30 p.m. in Benson Auditorium.
