Nursing dean helps complete program model book
National League for Nursing president and dean of the Harding
University Carr College of Nursing, Dr. Cathleen Shultz, is
part of a team that recently completed a two-year book monograph
project. The book creates a model for all nursing program types.
The monograph book is the first ever competency and outcomes book and
model for nursing programs. The National League for Nursing Education
Competency Work Group collaborated to research how best to prepare
graduates of nursing programs across the academic spectrum to function
in an evolving, dynamic health care environment. The book is designed
for students working on degrees ranging from LPN through doctorate
study in nursing.
Shultz is currently presenting a series of Web seminars on the model.
