College of Pharmacy conducts drug study

Dr. Landry Kamdem Kamdem, assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Harding University, with assistance of students in the University’s College of Pharmacy will be conducting a three-day drug study to better understand how medication dosing can be improved by considering genetic makeup. During February through July, the group will be testing the drug exemestane on women over the age of 45.

The study will consist of two main phases. The first phase will involve a one-hour screening process where general wellness, lung and heart function and genetic makeup will be examined. Women who qualify for the study will be contacted to continue to the lab phase of the study. Compensation for each phase will be given.

For a list of participant criterion, details of the process, or for other information about this study, contact Dr. Kamdem at 501-279-4837 or email at lkamdem@harding.edu.
