Assistant director appointed into leadership positions

SEARCY, Ark. — In December 2011, Harding University Assistant Director of Public Safety Kevin Davis was appointed vice-chair of the Central Arkansas Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International for 2012 and two-term president of the Arkansas Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (AACLEA).

ASIS is an organization that seeks to give security professionals programs and materials to increase skills, knowledge and quality performance. Established in 1955, this organization now has more than 37,000 worldwide members. As vice-chair of ASIS, Davis works closely with the chairman to organize monthly meetings for the organization, help ensure that the chapter website is up to date, grow the membership of the organization, and address the needs of the members. 

AACLEA is the Arkansas affiliate organization of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA), which is the preeminent organization representing campus law enforcement and security professional around the country and the world. As president, Davis organizes quarterly meetings, arranges for special training sessions, addresses the needs and concerns of the members, and assists with promoting any legislation that benefits the membership of the organization.
