Health Fairs and Wellness Screenings
Local churches provide the setting for the promotion of health and prevention of disease by inviting the College of Nursing faculty and students to conduct health fairs and wellness screenings. Services and education are provided in stress management, cardiac screening and risk management, hearing and vision screening, hypertension screening, cancer education and screening, etc. Churches invite their membership, neighboring churches, and community members to participate. These functions have been held over the past three years at the following Arkansas churches: Ola Church of Christ, Ola; Harrison and Willow Church of Christ, Conway; Liberty Church of Christ, Liberty; Somers Ave. Church of Christ, North Little Rock.
