Dr. Long, Provost, holds the rank of Distinguished Professor of English, having received the Distinguished Teacher Award three times. Reporting to the President, his responsibilities include faculty, curriculum development and review and other administrative functions.
Associate Provost
Marty Spears, Ph.D.Rice University

Dr. Spears, Associate Provost, is also an Associate Professor of Mathematics. Between teaching and assisting students, Dr. Spears is also the director of Institutional Research and Assessment.
Assistant Provost
Dr. Hixson-Wallace, Assistant Provost for the Center for Health Sciences, is also a Professor and Dean of the College of Pharmacy. She teaches in the areas of cardiovascular therapeutics and clinical pharmacokinetics.
Cheri Pierson Yecke, Ph.D.

Dr. Yecke, Assistant Provost, is also an Associate Professor of Political Science. In addition to working with graduate programs, she teaches Constitutional Law (POLS 435) and Administrative Law (POLS 436).
