Job Summary: Seeking qualified tutors to assist students (one-on-one) in course content. In order to be a qualified tutor you must: Be at least a sophomore at Harding, have attended school at HU at least one semester previous to employment, have taken the course at HU (preferred, not always required), received an "A"; in the course you want to tutor (or a "B" with the professor's recommendation), and participate in "tutor training"- (minimum of 10 hours/semester required; you will be paid for training as long as you actually stay and work with Student Support Services.
Tutoring is provided by appointment only and occurs in the Lee Building. Tutors are needed primarily in General Education courses. Specifically in Physical Sciences (Earth Science, Geology, Astronomy, etc), Bible classes (BNEW 112, BOLD 101, and specialized upper level), Greek, Mathematics (Math 200, Math 151). Tutors are always needed in many subject areas; interested parties should apply to Dr. Anissa Harris at (501)279-5793 or aharris@harding.edu (prior to start of fall semester if possible). There will be limited need for summer tutors, but interested parties should apply. More information is available upon request.

Job Summary: Supplemental Instruction (SI) study group leaders needed to facilitate study groups showing students how to effectively study for target course. Position will be 10 hrs weekly, including late afternoons and evenings. SI leaders meeting all requirements will be paid for on-job training as well as attending target class. Requirements: be a Junior or Senior with a 3.0 or > GPA, be in good standing with the University, have good communication skills, have taken target course at Harding, be able to attend target course. Student must have two references from HU teachers and attend training workshop first week-end of semester.

The Academic Resource Center is looking for a student to fill the position of Lab Attendant. This position is open to Juniors and Seniors and would be approximately 20 hours per week. Students must have two references from HU teachers and attend training workshop.

Job Summary: Desktop Support has an opening for a student hardware and software technician. Must be able to lift 60 lbs, work independently, and have good customer service skills. Knowledge of computer hardware and software needed. Worker will be responsible for installing memory, CD-Rom drives, and programs such as Microsoft Office, transferring profiles, and setting up desktop computer systems. Macintosh knowledge is a plus.
