Advantages
When to Arrive
Summer Experience is open to students fully accepted to Harding University.
If you have not completed the admissions process, please contact your Admissions Counselor. You must have received your Harding acceptance letter in order to register for Summer Experience.
In order for us to do our very best in advising and helping you select your classes, you must have taken either the ACT or SAT test before attending one of the Summer Experience Sessions. If you are unsure that a record of your test is in our files please contact your Admissions Counselor.
The next step is to prepare for your first semester on campus. We want to assist you in taking the best possible step for your university career. We have planned activities which will introduce you to university life.
Harding's Summer Experience
One of the best ways for a new student to become acquainted and get the best start at Harding is to attend one of the two Summer Experience sessions where you will be able to:
- meet with an academic counselor to complete your class schedule
- update your housing needs
- get acquainted with fellow students
This is your invitation to attend one of these sessions.
When will it be?
The dates for Summer Experience 2008 are June 19-20, July 10-11. Start by filling out the reservation form. Regardless of your overnight accommodation plans for Summer Experience, please complete the housing information.
The $30 Summer Experience fee should be mailed to: Harding University, Box 12232, Searcy, AR 72149. Make checks payable to Harding University. To pay by credit card, call 501-279-4110. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Please have your credit card number, expiration date, and security number (3 digits on back of card) ready when you call to make a payment. If you prefer, you may pay the $30 when you arrive.
Special Notice
Mail or submit your reservation form early. Please return the information to allow us time to prepare the folders and registration materials for your arrival.
Walk-up registrations will require Admissions Office approval and will be subject to a charge of $35. We must know in advance if you plan to attend in order to have the necessary records ready to serve you.

Housing & what to bring
Parents may contact the Heritage Inn toll free at 1-888-766-2465 to make their own arrangements.
Housing in University residence halls are available for students only!
Students staying in a residence hall are expected to furnish the following items:
- Towels
- Sheets and blankets to fit a twin size bed
- Pillows
- Backpack to carry your documents

Advantages of Harding's Summer Experience
Although Summer Experience is not required, there are several advantages in attending:
- The advanced orientation sessions will help you schedule your classes, eliminating decisions to be made at the start of the busy school year.
- By attending one of the Summer Experience sessions, you'll preview campus life and find out what to expect during your first semester of college.
- You will become acquainted with other new students (and maybe even meet your roommate). You will have an opportunity to meet new friends, as well as teachers, with whom you will spend the next four years.

When to Arrive?
June and July Sessions. Participants should plan to arrive by 1 p.m. Thursday June 19 or July 10. Registration will be in the Student Center Lobby (see the Campus Map).
