Professional Training
Various courses are offered to prepare lifeguards and swimming instructors. These courses are scheduled upon demand. or call 279-4756 for more information.
- Pre-Lifeguard Training- Teaches skills necessary to enter the lifeguard training course.
- During April and as needed
- Lifeguard Training- American Red Cross certification as a lifeguard. For strong swimmers 15 and older. A 25 hour course.
Cost: $175.
- May 6-15, 2008
- Water Safety Instructor- American Red Cross certification to teach swimming lessons. Must be 17 or older and be a good swimmer. The length of the course is about 30 hrs.
- As needed
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer- Teaches CPR for infants, children and adults as well as the use of an AED.
- As needed
- Re-certification Courses- Classes to re-certify are offered for all of the courses listed above.
- April 30, 2008 3:30-5:00 pm for CPR re-certification for lifeguards ($15)
