Students may not  take a CLEP exam while they are currently enrolled in the particular course they wish to gain credit for or if they have ever been enrolled in the course long enough for the course to appear on their transcript as a withdrawn class. They can be taken while a student is in high school, college, or even the graduate level. For a more detailed list click here.

 AP Exams:

AP exams opportunities are offered to students in high school. Harding accepts AP scores from schools across the country. Exams are taken at the end of the school after the student has completed the advanced placement course at their high school. Scores can be sent to Harding and college credit can be earned through this opportunity. For a more detailed list click here.

ACT and SAT:

Students aspiring to go to college must take a college entrance exam such as the ACT or SAT. Harding offers both exams throughout the school year. A student must register through ACT or SAT directly. You can register online at www.actstudent.org or www.collegeboard.com/sat. In addition you could mail in a registration form which our office can provide if you do not have access to one.

GRE:

The GRE is administered to those students desiring to enter a graduate program. At this time, Harding does not offer the The Subject or General exam. To register for either go to www.gre.org.

MAT:

The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level, analytic ability test that requires the solution of problems stated as analogies. The MAT consists of 120 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes. The MAT is intended to measure your ability to recognize relationships between ideas, your fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. The MAT is offered at Harding University by appointment only. Call or come by the Testing Office and fill out a registration form and we can schedule an appointment anytime Monday-Friday. The MAT is usually program specific, so check to make sure it is accepted as an entrance exam for the program to which you are applying. For more information or to take a practice test please visit www.milleranalogies.com.

TOEFL Exam:

"The Test of English as a Foreign Language™ (TOEFL®) measures the ability of nonnative speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written, and heard in college and university settings. The TOEFL test is offered in different formats depending on a test taker's location. The TOEFL Internet-based Test (TOEFL iBT) tests all four language skills that are important for effective communication: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The test helps students demonstrate that they have the English skills needed for success." The Harding Testing office offers this exam 1-2 times a month. Students must login to their online account and register directly with ETS-TOEFL. For more information go to www.ets.org/TOEFL.
