History & Political Science Department
July 22-23, 2022
This symposium is for current middle and high school social science teachers. We will be discussing both pedagogy and content about film in the history, economics, government, and geography classrooms. We will have speakers discussing the making of YouTube content, a session on using Camtasia with door prizes, Our speakers will also include middle schoolers who make documentaries for the National History Day competition. Our keynotes will include a viewing of "They Shall Not Grow Old," with historical discussion.
Continuing Education Credit
Continuing Education credit is available for any teacher in Arkansas. If you are from another state, please email Kim Laing at klaing@harding.edu at least 45 days prior to the conference to request credit for your state.
Grant Awards
Thanks to the generous support of the Clifton L. Ganus, Jr. Distinguished Chair of History and Political Science, grant awards in the amount of $250 are available to a select number of participants. If you are interested in applying for a grant, please fill out this application form.
