Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration
The Graduate School of Business is excited to announce a new graduate degree and two graduate certificates!
A new fully online Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) will launch in January of 2019. The MSIS is a 30 credit hour program comprised of 10 courses: 6 courses (18 hours) in the core and 4 courses (12 hours) in a selected concentration. Concentrations include data analytics and information assurance and security. The MSIS program targets professional candidates who want to increase their knowledge in this area of study either to perform better in their current role or use the knowledge to transition careers. Every MSIS course includes an emphasis in ethics, systems thinking, analytical and critical thinking skills, collaborative skills, written communication, creativity and technical solutions. The IS discipline bridges the gap between business professionals and highly technical professionals. The MSIS is carefully designed with the business professional in mind, engaging just enough technology for a deeper understanding of data related decisions. Applications are now being accepted.
Additionally, two new graduate certificates in data analytics and information assurance and security will launch in the summer of 2019. These fully online graduate certificates are highly flexible because they are designed with the needs of working professionals in mind. These certificates, offered within the context of Christian values, target professional candidates who desire the flexibility of a certificate and do not necessarily want to change careers or pursue a graduate degree, but see the need to increase their understanding and skill in these areas in order to perform better in their chosen careers. Every certificate course includes an emphasis in ethics, systems thinking, analytical and critical thinking skills, collaboration skills, written communication, creativity and technical solutions. Students who complete a certificate can apply 12 semester credit hours of advanced standing credit toward the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS). Applications are now being accepted.
The MSIS and graduate certificates will be offered alongside Harding's MBA, which has been recognized as one of the best in the country in 2018 by BestColleges.com, a leading provider of higher education research and college planning resources. The ranking highlights accredited, not-for-profit institutions who have developed exceptional academic online programs for students looking to advance their knowledge, skills, and careers in business administration.
