Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), Harding University Student Chapter
The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is the professional society for biomedical engineering and bioengineering. Founded in early 1968, the Society now boasts nearly 6,500 members and is growing, rapidly. The vision of the BMES is to serve as the world's leading society of professionals devoted to developing and using engineering and technology to advance human health and well-being. The BMES mission is to build and support the biomedical engineering community, locally, nationally and internationally, with activities designed to communicate recent advances, discoveries, and inventions; promote education and professional development; and integrate the perspectives of the academic, medical, governmental, and business sector. The Harding University student chapter of BMES was chartered in 2013 and its purpose is to give glory to our creator, advance biomedical engineering and life science technology at Harding, and embrace the overall mission of BMES.
