The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a 50-hour degree, designed to provide the students with a strong foundation in the visual arts. The degree is made up of a 34 hour core of art classes, including drawing, design, color theory, painting, art history, three-dimensional media, and visual aesthetics. During their capstone Senior Seminar, the students prepare their portfolios and Senior Shows. The 34-hour core is complemented with 16 hours of art electives, where the students may concentrate in an area, or take courses covering a broad range of media and/or art history. Students may also pursue undergraduate, or graduate, teacher licensure.
