Hogan-Cate Asian Missions Sabbatical

The Hogan-Cate Asian Missions Endowment honors the missionary efforts of Steve and Jeannie Cate in Indonesia and Gordon and Jane Hogan in Singapore. The endowment was established by the Tabalujan family in celebration of Tine and Carlo Tabalujan’s 60th wedding anniversary.

Each year, the endowment funds a sabbatical for an outstanding male or female missionary, church worker or ministry leader based in an a cappella church of Christ in Asia, including East and North Asia, South East Asia, South Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

The three-to-five-month sabbatical commences each August. Funds could cover airfare, housing on campus, food, transportation, tuition for audit or credit courses, Christian counseling, and visits to churches and ministries in and around Searcy, Arkansas. Submit applications to Dr. Monte Cox, dean of the College of Bible and Ministry, at mcox@harding.edu by Jan. 15, 2024. A committee will review all applications and award the grant by Jan. 31, 2024.

The sabbatical recipient is also expected to participate in Harding’s Inspire: Lectureship (conducted in the fall of each year) and other special events for spiritual renewal and to promote missions in Asia.
