Three Campus Locations
Our program has three locations from which to take classes: Searcy, North Little Rock, and online. Students may choose to complete their degree via one venue or through a combination of ground and online classes.
Two Program Tracks
Harding's M.B.A. program provides two program tracks. One is the Accelerate track, a 36 credit-hour program, with students taking 10 core courses along with 2 elective courses. The second is the Concentration track, a 42 credit-hour program. Students take 10 core courses along with 4 elective courses with those electives coming from the same concentrated area.
The Concentration M.B.A. track provides students with the option to individualize their M.B.A. program to meet personal career objectives. Students choose to take all of their electives in one area to obtain a concentration for their degree. Concentration areas available to students in Harding’s M.B.A. program are as follows: Health Care Management Information Technology Management International Business Leadership and Organizational Management The curriculum consists of 30 credit hours of required core classes and 12 credit hours of elective courses from the student’s chosen area of interest.

Why do I need an MBA?
Q: What qualities are evident in your program that an applicant may not find at other universities?
A: Harding University continues to offer value based education to each and every student. Harding's mission has long been to develop individuals through the integration of faith, learning and living. From the beginning to the end of their studies, students have the confidence that their needs and expectations are being met.
Q: What is the estimated time to complete the M.B.A. program?
A: A student taking a maximum of 12 hours per semester can earn their degree in 12 months. However, the most common time frame for completion is 18-24 months.
Q: What is the current tuition rate for the M.B.A. program?
A: The 2013-2014 tuition per semester hour is $643.00. Each M.B.A. course is a three-credit-hour course; therefore, the tuition rate per course is $1,929.00. For additional information on the tuition and fees, please review the current Graduate Catalog.
Q: What is the job placement percentage for graduate students?
A: The majority of M.B.A. students that enter the program are already employed. The applicants are looking to create more opportunities for their careers. As a general rule, the M.B.A. office is not structured to place students in job positions, but rather provide students with the skills to advance within the corporate and entrepreneurial realm. The M.B.A. program's online format provides networking opportunities with other students working in a variety of industries from all across the country and around the world.
Q: What is the classroom structure and curriculum of the online courses?
A: One advantage of Harding's M.B.A. program is the opportunity to earn your degree entirely online. Students may participate in classes from any location with internet access. The online M.B.A. program has proven beneficial to working professionals and those living outside campus areas. Many of our students' careers require travel, and the online program allows them to continue to work towards their M.B.A. degree without interruption. Online classes remove geographic boundaries and allow interaction among a larger breadth of students.
Q: What is the difference between the online class instruction and the on-campus class instruction?
A: Online classes provide the same quality education as the traditional on-site programs, utilizing the same course syllabi and textbooks. Harding University continues to deliver the highest quality education to our students. We combine theory with today's most current application methods. Class participation is currently facilitated through Canvas, which allows instructors and students to communicate with one another. Class discussions enable students to gain valuable insight from their peers' experiences in current business strategies and applications.
Q: What are the daily and weekly requirements and format of the online courses?
A: Online classes are taught for a 6 week period of concentrated study, with required log-in activity of 5 out of the 7 days per week. The daily log-in activities can take anywhere from one to two hours, depending upon the discussion topics and requirements. There are two blocks each semester of online courses. Students interact with highly qualified instructors facilitate class participation to gain strategic insight to today's business applications.
Q. If I am an online student, am I required to come to the University campus for a special class session?
A: You will never be required to come to our campus. Although we would love to personally meet you, we realize that our online students have very full professional and personal lives; therefore, making it difficult to come to our campus. The entire M.B.A. program can be completed from a satellite location. But we hope you will choose to come to campus to walk for your graduation ceremony!
