The Harding Fund makes the most immediate impact on student life at Harding. Because these funds are unrestricted, University leadership can direct their use to areas of greatest need. It provides flexible funding to address immediate needs, support faculty development, enhance student programs and innovate for the future. Gifts to the Harding Fund also meet unforeseen needs and support new opportunities as they emerge. We are so thankful for our faithful donors who continually give to this important unrestricted fund.
The Freedom Fund was created to provide financial freedom from federal grant funding. This fund will position Harding to be ready for the day when the government removes loan and grant availability to students who attend morally conservative Christian universities. Approximately 21% of our students receive Pell Grant support from the government, translating into over $3.5 million (currently). Through current and estate gifts, the Freedom Fund will eventually serve as an alternative to the Pell Grant program and will serve countless students who count on government funding to cover tuition.
Student Life enhances the on-campus life of the student body through academic support and creative activities and events. Support these efforts to give our students the full Harding experience.
The finished products will improve the facilities and enhance the opportunities for student athletes, intramural and club sports, student and community spectators, and Harding Academy.
