Physician Assistant Program

Welcome to the information site for the Physician Assistant Program. This is a 28-month graduate program leading to a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree.

This is the first PA program in the state of Arkansas. At Harding we are very excited about the potential impact of this program on the local community, the people of Arkansas, and worldwide mission fields.

The Alpha class graduated July 28, 2007.  It was a very exciting time. Of our 16 alpha students, 12 have stayed in AR to practice. Their PANCE results can be viewed on the FAQ page.

Our Beta class is mid-way through their clinical rotations already. The presentations and clinical pearls that are shared on their return to campus are quite impressive.

 The 3^rd class of 32 PA students began June 4, 2007. As they were leaving for their well deserved Christmas holiday, they remarked that they were only 1 semester away from beginning their clinicals--time really was going quickly.

Our new start date will be in August of 2008 to coincide with the start date of the College of Pharmacy.

New Facility
Coinciding with our August 2008 start date, the PA Program will relocate to a new building on Harding's main campus. You can view progress of the new Center for Health Sciences here.

LOCATION:
Our building is located at 705 Santa Fe Drive just off of Beebe Capps, across from Harding’s intramural fields. Santa Fe Drive is between Casa Brava restaurant and Popeyes Chicken. We welcome you to schedule a visit if you are in the area.

ACCREDITATION STATUS:
The program has been awarded Continued Accreditation by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). The approximate date for the next review by ARC-PA will be in 2009.
