College of Allied Health

Message from the Dean

We are delighted to present the College of Allied Health for your consideration.  Established in 2011, the newest college at Harding University strives to provide high quality instruction and meaningful experiences in health professions.  It is our mission to address the needs of our healthcare workforce shortages by preparing professionals who are caring, competent, Christian servants.

Each academic unit’s curriculum is designed to prepare students to:

· Acquire and utilize knowledge and skills within the Christian perspective that will enable the student to become a professional practitioner with a commitment to life-long learning.

· Use scientific inquiry, current technology, and evidence- based practice to effectively support and guide health care delivery.

· Develop leadership skills and provide clinical experiences that allow our students to demonstrate their roles as Christian servants who care for others.

· Enhance the use of ethically grounded practices in both the administration and delivery of health care services.

The college houses the academic and clinical programs for the following degrees:

B.A. Communication Sciences and Disorders

M.S. P.A.S.  Physician Assistant Studies

M.S Speech Language Pathology

D.P.T. Physical Therapy

The office of the dean is housed in The Swaid Center for Health Sciences, 104B & C.
