Physician Assistant ProgramPhysician Assistant Program

Welcome to the information site for the Physician Assistant Program. This is a 28-month graduate program leading to a Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Physician Assistant Studies.

This is the first PA program in the state of Arkansas. At Harding we are very excited about the potential impact of this program on the local community, the people of Arkansas, and worldwide mission fields.

The Harding University Physician Assistant Program has had 164 graduates since our inception in 2005.  Program graduates are practicing throughout Arkansas and at least 15 other states in a variety of settings which include Primary Care, Urgent and Emergent Care, Orthopedic, Dermatology, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Rheumatology, Surgery specialties, Mental Health, Urology, and Pediatrics.

  • The Class of 2013 has just begun their 7th rotation out of their 9 clinical rotations.  Four students have planned to complete international rotations and two will be participating in Alaskan rotations. They all will be staying very busy before their December 2013 graduation. This is an exciting time for them as they soon begin to prepare for the next steps after PA school.
  • The Class of 2014 is into their 3rd and final full time on campus didactic semester. It now can be said that they have completed more days than are left to be completed. They continue to be willing learners and great team players
  • The Class of 2015 (will matriculate 8/13) is just now being put together. We fully expect them to follow in the footsteps of our previous classes.
