Physician Assistant Program
Welcome to the information site for the Physician Assistant Program. This is a 28-month graduate program leading to a Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Physician Assistant Studies.
This is the first PA program in the state of Arkansas. At Harding we are very excited about the potential impact of this program on the local community, the people of Arkansas, and worldwide mission fields.
The Harding University Physician Assistant Program has had 164 graduates since our inception in 2005. Program graduates are practicing throughout Arkansas and at least 15 other states in a variety of settings which include Primary Care, Urgent and Emergent Care, Orthopedic, Dermatology, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Rheumatology, Surgery specialties, Mental Health, Urology, and Pediatrics.
This is such an exciting time for our students.
- The Class of 2013: Graduation is less than 2 weeks away. They are back on campus now finishing classes, taking exams and preparing for their PANCE exams. For many, this time will be their last time together as a group as they prepare to move to their new jobs. Some are still looking for that first job while others are finishing ironing out the job details. There is definitely excitement in the air as we enjoy having this class back on campus with us.
- The Class of 2014 is now in their 3rd clinical rotation. They are becoming adept clinicians as they continue to learn and grow with each new clinical rotation.
- The Class of 2015 is longingly looking forward to the Christmas holidays. Tests this week and finals next week stand between them and that goal. (THAT's all!). They have planned an ugly Christmas sweater/pizza party tomorrow to help lighten the mood and then back to the books. They will return to us in January refreshed and ready to start again.
