Federal Direct Loan Forgiveness for Teachers
Currently available only for
teachers
Five years of service required
Up to $17,500 in loans may be forgiven
Federal Direct Loan Forgiveness for Public Service
Created by Congress to encourage individuals to enter and continue to work full-time in public service jobs
Save thousands of dollars by working for a government or nonprofit organization
Qualify for forgiveness of any remaining balance on your eligible federal student loans after 10 years of service and 10 years of on-time payments

Health Resources and Services Administration Loan Repayment Programs (HRSA)
Offers
loan repayment assistance to physician assistants, registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurses
, such as nurse practitioners
Requires working full-time in a critical shortage facility OR nurse faculty at an accredited school of nursing
Federal Perkins Loan Forgiveness
Perkins loans, if received, can be 100% forgiven for working in selected fields
Current eligible fields: teaching, volunteer work (AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, VISTA), military service, and legal or medical studies

TEACH Grant Service Requirements
Stay in contact with your TEACH grant servicer
Complete Agreement to Serve annually and provide employment documentation
Inform grant servicer if you do not intend to complete Agreement to Serve
