The successful candidate will support our BFA programs in Graphic Design and Visual Arts. Teaching responsibilities will include core undergraduate courses such as design foundations and software production. Candidates strong in both graphic design and studio skills such as drawing, photography, printmaking, 3D or video will be given preference. 

A terminal degree (MFA) in Graphic Design or a Master of Arts (MA) in a closely related field is strongly preferred. Significant professional experience (8+ years) in the design industry is highly desirable and may be considered in lieu of an MFA, depending upon portfolio and experience. The primary responsibilities for each position include teaching undergraduate courses in theatre, focusing on the candidate's particular specialization area. Each position will also serve as an integral part of the production team for the department. Theatre Design: Preferred Candidates should hold an MFA in Theatre with an emphasis in a design discipline and possess both professional and teaching experience. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses within the candidate’s specialization and serving as a key member of the production team. Expertise in Costume or Lighting Design is especially desired, though other design areas will be considered.

Acting/Directing: Preference will be given to applicants holding an MFA in Theatre with an emphasis in acting or directing, along with relevant professional and teaching experience. Responsibilities include teaching acting, directing, and related courses, with additional opportunities for involvement in musical theatre, children’s theatre, or classical theatre.

Technical Theatre: The preferred candidate will hold an MFA in Theatre with an emphasis in technical direction and have professional and teaching experience.
