DEAN of the College of Bible and Ministry

Harding University invites applications for the position of Dean of the College of Bible and Ministry, a full-time faculty / administrative appointment beginning June 1, 2027. The dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the college.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership for academic programs, including curriculum development, program review, assessment of student learning, and the supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff
• Recruiting, developing, and retaining faculty and staff who are outstanding teachers and committed to the college mission to “lead all students at Harding University to know, live and share God’s Word and to understand, love and serve God’s World”
• Teaching undergraduate courses in Bible and ministry consistent with academic preparation
• Leading strategic planning and stewarding the college’s financial resources, including oversight of the budget
• Collaborating closely with university leadership as a member of the university cabinet and deans’ council to advance institutional goals and initiatives
• Serving as the primary representative of the college to alumni, church partners, donors and other external constituencies
• Acting as the outward-facing voice and champion for the College of Bible and Ministry within the broader Harding community

Candidates must possess a terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Biblical studies, theology or a closely related field from an accredited institution and demonstrate a minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in higher education. College of Allied Health - CFIT. Seeking qualified applicants for a 10-month principal faculty position for the Harding department of Cardiac Function & Interventional Technology (CFIT); rank will be commensurate with applicant experience. College of Allied Health - Physician Assistant Program. The Physician Assistant Program in the College of Allied Health at Harding University is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, 12-month principal faculty position; rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s education and experience. Harding University is seeking candidates for a full-time graphic design faculty position. 

The successful candidate will support our BFA programs in Graphic Design and Visual Arts. Teaching responsibilities will include core undergraduate courses such as design foundations and software production. Candidates strong in both graphic design and studio skills such as drawing, photography, printmaking, 3D or video will be given preference. 

A terminal degree (MFA) in Graphic Design or a Master of Arts (MA) in a closely related field is strongly preferred. Significant professional experience (8+ years) in the design industry is highly desirable and may be considered in lieu of an MFA, depending upon portfolio and experience. Salary and rank will be determined based on credentials and experience.

Harding University is seeking qualified applicants for a one semester per academic year humanities position. 

Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate humanities courses, living abroad in an undergraduate residential setting for one semester per year, and contributing to the academic, social and spiritual development of students during their semester abroad. Due to multiple retirements, the Department of Theatre invites mission-aligned applicants for full-time nine-month faculty positions in Theatre. The preferred candidates will hold an MFA degree in Theatre, with an appropriate specialization in either design, technical theatre, or acting/directing. The primary responsibilities for each position include teaching undergraduate courses in theatre, focusing on the candidate's particular specialization area. Each position will also serve as an integral part of the production team for the department. Theatre Design: Preferred Candidates should hold an MFA in Theatre with an emphasis in a design discipline and possess both professional and teaching experience. Expertise in Costume or Lighting Design is especially desired, though other design areas will be considered.

Seeking full-time nursing faculty in psychiatric and mental health subspecialties for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in Searcy, Arkansas. The position requires both face-to-face and online instruction. The successful candidates should maintain an active, unencumbered nursing license, be eligible for RN licensing in the state of Arkansas, possess a Ph.D. in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and have at least 4 years of nursing practice experience. Seeking qualified applicants for a 12-month pharmaceutics faculty position for the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program; rank will be commensurate with applicant experience. Responsibilities will include coordinating and delivering didactic and laboratory courses designed to prepare students for the rigors of the PharmD program, collaborating with colleagues in team-taught courses, maintaining an active research agenda through collaboration with internal and external partners in academia and the pharmaceutical/biomedical industry, training and mentoring research students, and enhancing the college’s reputation and scholarship metrics through grant submissions, securing funding, and producing peer-reviewed abstracts, posters, presentations, and publications.

Qualified applicants will be expected to hold a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Delivery, Pharmacology and Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field (industrial pharmacy background is a plus).
