Our graphic design students are prepared for tomorrow’s professional environment through challenging class projects, internships and participation in our American Institute of Graphic Arts student group. Branding, informational, editorial, interactive and package design are developed with a focus on ethics and service through studio and art history courses, plus various course choices from communications and business.

Expand your creativity and worldview through Art, Architecture and Design International — our immersive four to six-week study abroad program. The Dallas Society of Visual Communications consists of designers, writers, photographers, illustrators, broadcast producers and the many vendors and suppliers who support them. What can you do with a degree in graphic design?

Digital artists

As a digital artist, you'll create artwork for various media such as video games, movies, advertising and websites. Manipulating digital images, creating illustrations and designing graphics, you'll often collaborate with other creatives to bring concepts to life.

Illustrators

As an illustrator, you'll create art to accompany and enhance stories in books, magazines, advertisements and other media. 

Residential Designers

Residential designers create and plans layout and aesthetics of living spaces including homes and apartments, ensuring functionality, safety and visual appeal. Working closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, they then develop concepts, plans and material selections to bring those visions to life.
