What can you do with a degree in foreign language and missions?
Missions and ministry
A primary goal of the Foreign Language and Missions program is to prepare students for mission work overseas or with target-language communities within the U.S. Most graduates with this degree pursue mission work or ministry.
Non-profit organizations
Graduates of this program are well-positioned to pursue work with non-profit organizations. The required internship may be completed with any non-profit that works with speakers of other languages.
Languages or linguistics
Foreign language skills can be invaluable in a variety of fields, including translation, health, education, business, travel, diplomacy, and more. Students in this program are also prepared to pursue graduate study in languages or linguistics.
Our students are learning to cross the fissures created by cultural otherness. They are training to break down the linguistic barriers that have broken communication between groups.
