Center for Professional Excellence

The Center for Professional Excellence helps form connections that lead to internships, mentorships and careers. Additionally, the center exists as a valuable resource for alumni, assisting in their professional careers and spiritual journey. We want to be a conduit of information between current students, alumni and employers, providing insight for career decisions and job searches.

The Association for Information Systems

The Association for Information Systems is a student-led group that provides a social and learning atmosphere for the sharing of knowledge about the IT field. It fosters networking with potential employers, development of knowledge of internships and industry trends, and employment opportunities in the IT field.

Study abroad

The four-week College of Business Administration study abroad program in London provides exposure to broad international businesses, multicultural diversity and extensive history. Students meet with and learn from industry leaders and see how businesses perform in a vast global environment.

Harding’s chapter Alpha Upsilon of Delta Mu Delta inducts the top 20% of juniors, seniors and graduate students and recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at qualifying colleges and universities.

The Waldron Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business focuses on entrepreneurial academics and competitions for students as well as business development for startups and family-owned businesses. The center supports entrepreneurship and family business through academic engagement, workshops and outreach to build a community of innovation.

Students may compete in the Arkansas Governor’s Cup competition in collaboration with students from engineering and computer science. Teams write a business plan to present at the competition in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Business or computer systems analysts/auditors/designers

With a bachelor's degree in information systems, graduates are equipped to succeed as computer systems analysts, utilizing their expertise in systems design, analysis and integration to improve organizational IT infrastructure. Business intelligence analysts

Business intelligence analysts use data analysis and visualization techniques to help organizations make informed business decisions. With a degree in information systems, you'll play a critical role in helping organizations harness the power of their data to drive strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency and gain a competitive edge. By transforming data into actionable insights, you'll enable businesses to make informed decisions based on empirical evidence rather than intuition or guesswork.

WE ARE PREPARING STUDENTS ON A BROAD SPECTRUM TO BE OUT IN THE REAL WORLD. ON AVERAGE THEY WILL WORK SIX CAREERS AND 25 JOBS, AND THREE OF THOSE CAREERS HAVEN’T EVEN BEEN INVENTED YET.
