Previously called Lectureship, Inspire continues to provide resources for the church in a new format for Harding’s second century.

Keynote Speaker

Evening Keynote: Dr. Rubel Shelly | One Body

Dr. Rubel Shelly has spent his adult life in Christ-focused ministry through preaching, teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels, and writing. He is committed to a non-sectarian presentation of the message of Christ. He holds a bachelor’s degree, a Master of Arts and a Master of Theology in Bible from Harding and a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy from Vanderbilt University.  

Dr. Shelly preached for the family of God at Woodmont Hills in Nashville from 1978 to 2005 and also taught at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Tennessee State University. He served as professor of philosophy and religion at Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Michigan, from 2005 to 2008, and was named its president in 2008. 

In 2015, Dr. Shelly returned to Nashville as distinguished professor of philosophy and religion at Lipscomb University and to inaugurate studies in medical ethics. From January 2021 through December 2022, he served as teaching minister at the Harpeth Hills Church.

He is the author of I Just Want to Be a Christian, Divorce & Remarriage: A Redemptive Theology, I Knew Jesus Before He Was a Christian, Male and Female God Created Them, and The Ink Is Dry

He and his late wife, Myra, have three children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Chapel keynote: Rodney Dulin | One Lord

Dr. Rodney Dulin has been the senior minister of the Central Pointe Church of Christ since 2006. A native of Dallas, he is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys traveling, studying God’s word and working with young people. He also enjoys nurturing the ministries of the church and watching the people of God mature in their purpose. He always says, “There’s a spot on the team for everybody, you just have to get off of the bench and get in the game!”

Dr. Dulin graduated from Southwestern Christian College with an Associate of Arts in 1993 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas in 1997. He is a graduate of the Southern Bible Institute and in 2007, graduated cum laude with a Master of Arts in Christian leadership from Criswell College. He also earned a doctorate in theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary.

He and his wife, Shalonda, are the proud parents of two children, Mia and Roman. Together they minister to the masses and seek to build a better community through stronger families.

 

Evening Keynote: Alexander Jamerison | One Baptism

Alex Jamerison lives in St. Louis, Missouri, and is the minister at Ferguson Heights Church of Christ. He served as the minister at churches in Atlanta and Texas before returning to his home church in St. Louis. He has served as director of church outreach and an adjunct Bible professor at Harding. He graduated from Harding with a Bible and preaching degree and completed a Master of Arts in Christian ministry, with a focus on preaching, at Liberty University. He is pursuing his Doctor of Education in pastoral care and counseling. He loves to travel, spend time with family and play racquetball. He and his wife, Mercedes, have three children.

Chapel keynote: Jeremy Flowers | One Spirit

Dr. Jeremy J. Flowers Sr. has served as senior minister at the Gray Road Church of Christ in Cincinnati, Ohio, for 10 years. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in religious education from Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Texas, in 2007 and earned a master’s degree in family studies from Amberton University in Garland, Texas, in 2009. He also earned a doctorate in organizational leadership in 2013. His preaching has blessed audiences across the country and in Europe, Central America and the Caribbean, and he is the author of Fresh Water from a Dirty Cup. He and his wife of 15 years, Tamica, live in Cincinnati with their two sons, Jeremy Jr. and Joshua.

 

Evening keynote: Olu Shabazz | One Faith

Dr. Olu J. Shabazz is the evangelist at the Harlem Church of Christ in New York City, where he has served for the past 23 years. He holds multiple educational degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts in biblical studies from the esteemed Memphis School of Preaching in Memphis, Tennessee, and a bachelor’s in Christian education from the prestigious Midwestern Christian Institute in Mount Clemens, Michigan. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from the same institute, recognizing his significant contributions to the ministry and biblical exegesis. Driven by his thirst for knowledge, he pursued a Master of Divinity and a doctorate in ministry at the esteemed Southern Institute of Biblical Studies in Indianapolis, Indiana, graduating as valedictorian, summa cum laude with 4.0 grade point average. Shabazz is married to LVR and they have seven children and nine grandchildren.

 

Evening keynote: Dr. Matt Love | One Hope

Matthew Love is the preaching minister at Beebe Church of Christ in Beebe, Arkansas. He came to Harding from Southeastern Ohio to study Bible. After his time in Searcy, he earned a Master of Divinity from Harding School of Theology. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in preaching at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He previously served as youth minister at Beebe for five years before transitioning into the pulpit seven years ago. In August 2024, he began teaching full-time at Harding School of Theology, teaching courses in preaching and ministry. He and his wife of 13 years, Madison, have three children, Shiloh, August and Eliot.

I'm a student/employee of Harding. Do I still have to register?
Yes, but the registration fee is waived for HU employees, spouses and students. HU employees, spouses, and students please use the code lecture24 to waive your ticket fee.


I am only attending the keynotes in the evening. Do I need to register?

All evening keynotes are free of charge and do not require registration.

I've pre-registered. Where do I check in?

Upon arrival, please visit the McInteer Bible and World Missions Center Rotunda to check in, receive a name tag and program, and browse the exhibitor tables.

What time is the Inspire Hub open?

The Inspire Hub, located in the McInteer Bible and World Missions Center Rotunda is open at the following hours:
Sunday: 2 pm - 8:30 pm
Monday: 7:30 am - 8:30 pm
Tuesday: 7:30 am - 8:30 pm
Wednesday: 7:30 am - 4 pm

Can I register after I arrive?

Yes, come to the Inspire Hub located in the McInteer Bible and World Missions Center Rotunda to register.

I can't make it to Inspire, can I still view the sessions?

The nightly keynotes will be live streamed here 
They will also be available on the main Inspire page in the weeks after Inspire.
Most sessions' audio recordings will be available in the weeks after Inspire the ScholarWorks website

Come back in August 2025 for updated seminar credits 

Students have the option to attend Lectureship classes for credit. Students must register for these classes on or before by the first day of Lectureship by using the "Add/Drop" link in the "My Classes" section of Pipeline.

**STUDENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR A SEMINAR IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN LECTURESHIP SESSIONS. 

**Overrides may be necessary when registering for these seminars. These can obtained by emailing your H number and class CRN to bible@harding.edu
