
9 a.m. — Mike O’Neal, former chaplain to NASA astronauts, will speak in chapel.
11 a.m.-1:30 pm. — Cosmic Cookout at Bison Park, sponsored by Campus Life
- Chartwells will serve lunch at the cookout. Pre-order tickets at hardingtickets.com or pay cash at the event. Students can use their meal plan and the dining hall will also be open.
- Three food trucks will also be available for cash-only purchases: Tacker’s Shake Shack, Jefferson’s Mobile Grill and Cheesecake on Point.
- If you’re interested in setting up a tent at the cookout with your college, department, social club or other organization, please sign up for a space here.
- Eclipse T-shirts and posters will be available for cash-only purchase from the bookstore trailer.
- Other attractions include an inflatable planetarium, photo booths, live music, a Buff the Bison appearance and ROTC obstacle course.

3:30 p.m. — Mike O’Neal’s presentation in Anthony and Wright Administration Building Auditorium
7:30 p.m. — American Studies Institute hosts astronaut Jerry Linenger in the Benson Auditorium for a lecture titled “Faith, Fortitude and Fire: An Astronaut’s Tale of Triumph in the Heavens.”
