Invest in Students and Impact Generations by

Establishing an Endowed Scholarship

A Lasting Legacy

An enduring way donors leave a lasting legacy at Harding University is through the creation of endowed scholarships. These scholarships are a cornerstone of our mission, helping make a Christ-centered Harding education attainable for students who might otherwise miss this life-changing opportunity.

Endowed scholarships may be established through current gifts or deferred commitments, such as estate gifts. Once an endowed fund reaches $25,000, it begins providing scholarships at an annual rate of 4.5% of the principal. (For example: a $25,000 fund would award $1,125 each year to deserving students—year after year.)

These funds are prayerfully and strategically invested to generate returns that sustain and grow the scholarship over time. Through God’s blessings and wise stewardship, Harding’s total endowment has now grown beyond $200 million, multiplying the opportunities available to our students.

Scholarships may be named in honor or memory of someone meaningful to the donor—whether a family member, friend, or mentor—or in a way that reflects the donor’s faith, values, and vision for impacting students’ lives. Donors may also choose to support a specific academic program, major or group of majors, or an entire college. Student recipients are typically selected by a faculty committee from the designated program or, if the scholarship is not program-specific, by the Office of Financial Aid Services.

By establishing an endowed scholarship, you are not only investing in the future of Harding—you are shaping lives for Christ. To begin this meaningful journey, please complete the Endowed Scholarship Request Form.
