Matching Gifts

A matching gift is a donation made by an employer to match a charitable contribution made by their employee. Many companies offer this benefit, often doubling or even tripling the original gift.

Use the search tool above to find your company. If your employer offers a matching gift program, you'll see details about how to request the match and any guidelines they follow.

Most companies allow employees to submit requests online through a company portal or by filling out a paper form. The search tool will provide links and instructions specific to your company.

Yes. Harding is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit institution and is eligible for most corporate matching gift programs.

Yes. In most cases, your matching gift will follow the designation of your original donation. However, some companies only allow gifts to general funds or student support. If you have questions, feel free to contact our Advancement Office at advancement@harding.edu. 

If your company doesn’t appear, it may not have a matching gift program—or it might be listed under a different name. Contact your HR department to ask if a program exists.

We are happy to provide any documentation your employer needs. If they request verification, we will confirm your gift and any required details. Feel free to share our contact information with them.

Once your employer approves the request, they will send the matching donation directly to Harding. We’ll apply it to the same fund as your original gift unless noted otherwise by your employer.
