Established in 2023 through the generosity of Dr. Swaid and Christy Swaid, the Institute honors Dr. Swaid's deep connection to Harding. Born in Eilaboun, Israel, he arrived at Harding at age 16 as an international student himself. After graduating from Harding, he completed medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and became a renowned neurosurgeon. The Swaid Institute for International Education reflects Dr. Swaid's commitment to providing transformative international educational opportunities for students.
