Elevate Your Impact: Speech-Language Pathology

Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology

Speech-language pathologists directly impact their local and global communities. Whether you’re interested in working in a hospital, school system, rehabilitation center or private practice, there are so many opportunities to make a significant difference in the lives of others. In addition to a rigorous curriculum, you’ll have unique opportunities for real-world experience including providing services in our on-campus speech clinic, performing hands-on dissection in the anatomy lab, and helping with horse-assisted therapy.

HIZ-PATH

You’ll have the opportunity to spend six weeks in Zambia, Africa, working at The Haven, a group of orphan-care homes in Namwianga Mission. During this immersive experience, you’ll provide speech-language pathology services including caregiver training, language enrichment, and feeding and swallowing therapy to those in need, some of whom are living with HIV/AIDS. You’ll also experience the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of Zambia on safaris and visit Victoria Falls and Lake Victoria.
