Three Music Degrees are offered
    
    The programs below contain curricular revisions that await approval by the National Association of Schools of Music.
    The Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Music is the traditional degree oriented to liberal arts. Students who complete this degree may pursue graduate study or professional employment in or out of music in a variety of career fields. This degree requires a minor and is normally completed in four years.
    The Bachelor of Music Education degree is a professional degree designed for prospective music teachers.  Completion of this degree provides training for students to pursue professional teacher licensure. This degree can be completed in four years.
    
- Students who desire to become band and orchestra directors take the instrumental track
- Students who plan to become choral directors and general music teachers follow the vocal track.
Bachelor of Music
- Students who desire to compose, arrange and orchestrate choose the composition track.
- Students who desire to pursue performance or private studio teaching with an orchestral or band instrument select the instrumental studies track.
- Students who desire to pursue careers in music business and the arts follow the music entrepreneurship track.
- Students who desire to pursue performance or private studio teaching in piano choose the piano studies track.
- Students who desire to pursue performance or private studio teaching in voice take the vocal studies track.
