Forvis Mazars Center of Accountancy

Harding’s accounting program has long been a cornerstone of the Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration. To further strengthen student transformation, grow enrollment in accounting and support our talented faculty, we are establishing the Forvis Mazars Center of Accountancy.

Thanks to the generous support of Forvis Mazars, renovations in the Mabee Business Building are scheduled for completion this summer, allowing students to begin utilizing the space this fall. The new center will feature a large conference room, collaborative lounge space and dedicated interview rooms, creating an environment that fosters learning, professional development and meaningful connections with employers and our graduates.

The Center will foster opportunities for:

Dr. Phil Brown Distinguished Endowed Chair for Accounting

Complementing the Forvis Mazars Center of Accountancy, Harding is also establishing the Dr. Phil Brown Distinguished Endowed Chair for Accounting to honor a faculty member whose influence has shaped generations of students and strengthened the accounting program.

Dr. Phil Brown has inspired many students who have also become his lifelong friends. A master teacher, he served as both chair and co-chair of the accounting department and launched the college’s first internship program and the first honors accounting course. But his 38-year legacy extends well beyond the classroom.

Through the Dr. Phil Brown Distinguished Endowed Chair for Accounting, Harding will honor his extraordinary legacy by providing enduring support for faculty excellence, ensuring that current and future students continue to benefit from the exceptional teaching, mentorship and Christian leadership that have defined his career.

The endowed chair will provide permanent annual support for:
