Lance Hawley is an associate professor of Old Testament at Harding School of Theology. He holds a doctorate in Hebrew Bible from the University of Wisconsin with a focus on Wisdom Literature and the poetry of the Old Testament. He is the author of two books, Metaphor Competition in the Book of Job and Walking with Wisdom: A Study of Proverbs. His teaching at HST covers all things Old Testament, including textual classes in Pentateuch, Isaiah, Wisdom Literature and Psalms. 

 

Matthew Love is the preaching minister for the Beebe Church of Christ in Beebe, Arkansas. He came to Harding from southeastern Ohio to study Bible. After his time in Searcy, he earned a Master of Divinity from Harding School of Theology and a Ph.D. in preaching from Baylor University. In August 2024, he began full-time at Harding School of Theology, teaching courses in preaching and ministry. He and his wife of 15 years, Madison, have three children, Shiloh, August and Eliot.
