With Dr. Kraig Martin

Dr. Kraig Martin came to Harding in 2014 after completing his doctorate in philosophy from Baylor University. His research has been primarily in ethics and epistemology. His most recent book (co-authored with Lipscomb University philosopher Caleb Clanton), The Good & The Right, argues for a combination of historically Christian theories of ethics. Prior to studying and teaching philosophy, he coached a boy’s high school basketball team in Texas and then directed a reading program in the inner city of Houston that was connected to the Impact Church of Christ. He and his wife, Susan, have two children, Lela and Jed.

Psalm 8, along with other foundational Old Testament passages, provides a theology of human identity that helps navigate our culture’s ideas about sexual identity.
