Dr. Dale W. Manor is professor emeritus of archaeology and Bible at Harding, where he taught for 24 years. He is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University, Pepperdine University, and California State University and earned master’s and doctoral degrees in Syro-Palestinian archaeology from the University of Arizona. In addition to other excavations in Israel, he has served as the archaeological field director at Tel Beth-Shemesh since 2000. Before teaching at Harding, he was in full-time local ministry for 25 years in California and Arizona. He and his wife, Sharon, have two children, Cyndi and Elijah, and six grandchildren.
