Dr. Kristopher K. DarDar Sr. is a native of Morgan City, Louisiana. He began his pulpit ministry at age six, under the ministerial leadership of his late grandfather, Minister Johnnie DarDar Sr. His ministerial journey took root early, with his first congregational work beginning at the age of 15 at Oakley Street Church of Christ in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He has traveled extensively across the United States and abroad, preaching and teaching. He is frequently sought out to conduct gospel meetings, revivals and workshops locally, regionally and nationally.

As a scholar as well as a minister, Dr. DarDar earned a Bachelor of Science in religious studies  from Southwestern Christian College, followed by a Master of Science in family studies from Amberton University. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in family studies from Texas Woman’s University.

As an active and respected member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, Dr. DarDar embodies the  organization’s mission of fostering brotherhood, leadership, academic achievement and community advocacy. This commitment to social justice and uplifting communities is also reflected in his international work, including his efforts to strengthen and expand the Atlantic Bridge Initiative in South Africa. Through this program, he has mentored young African pastors, helping them overcome the lingering effects of colonialism on worship and embrace a fuller celebration of their cultural and spiritual heritage.

As a passionate advocate for leadership development, Dr. DarDar has created a groundbreaking 14-week Leadership Academy that empowers young men to redefine their roles as husbands, fathers, sons and leaders. This program challenges participants to move beyond biases, embody biblical principles and become problem-solvers and role models within their communities.

Currently, Dr. DarDar serves as senior pastor of the legendary East Pointe Church of Christ, in Fort Worth, Texas, a thriving congregation deeply rooted in its mission to serve a growing community. He and his wife, LaMaria T. DarDar, have four children: Kristopher Jr., Amari Izaiah-David, Kaleb Zayde and KaMorah Zy’elle Marie.
