Dr. Jon Singleton is professor and chair of English at Harding. He mentors students in using writing, literature, and philosophy to be ambassadors for Christ. His interest in British Romantic poets like Wordsworth, Blake and Coleridge has recently inspired him to work with students to establish the "Reading and Imagination Research Lab," where they investigate how reading catches fire in the mind. He and his wife, Julie, and their three children are natives of upstate New York, where they return each summer to serve at Camp Hunt. He is a member of Downtown Church of Christ in Searcy.
