Johnny Hobbie has served as minister at Maul Road Church of Christ in Camden, Arkansas, since 2008. He is a member of Oasis, a Harding initiative to serve small and rural congregations in Arkansas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from the University of Alabama and a master’s in ministry from Harding. He served as youth and family minister at Maul Road in the 1990’s before serving in that same capacity at Riverchase Church of Christ in Birmingham for 12 years. He and his wife, Angie, have three children, Joey, Andy and Abby.
