Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

PT logoWELCOME to Harding University’s Physical Therapy Program (HUPT).  HUPT is a three-year graduate program leading to a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.  This website has been designed to inform you about Harding’s Physical Therapy Program and provide information that includes the DPT program prerequisites and the application process.  We hope that the site will answer many of your questions about the program.   If you would like additional information, please feel free to contact us directly at 501-279-5990.  We welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

Harding’s Physical Therapy Program is the first of its kind offered among universities within the fellowship of churches of Christ.

HUPT desires to graduate physical therapists who accept the responsibility of improving the spiritual and physical wellness of the world by providing patient-centered care that ensures optimal physical therapy outcomes delivered through the highest standards of Christian service.

The program is unique in that students participate in a two-week medical missions practicum in Zambia Africa.  The students stay within Harding facilities (HIZ) and travel to villages in the nearby area.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Harding University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), 1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314; telephone: 703-706-3245; email: accreditation@apta.org; website: www.capteonline.org.
