Faculty and Student Scholarship

Dean's List

The provost and faculty acknowledge and celebrate the academic success of our undergraduate students by naming high-achieving students to the Dean’s List.

The Dean’s List is published at the end of the fall, spring, and summer terms honoring those undergraduate students who achieve high scholarship for that term. To be eligible, a student must be classified as an undergraduate and earn a 3.65 GPA on 12 or more credit hours of work at Harding with no missing or incomplete grades. The term GPA for the Dean’s List includes all grades at Harding for the term under consideration at the time final grades are posted to the transcript.

The published Dean’s list does not include students who have declined permission to release their academic records per Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). The Dean’s list is compiled from information from each student’s official records.

Student Research

McNair Program

The McNair Scholars Program, made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, supports undergraduate students’ scholarly activities throughout the academic year and summer. The objective of the program is to provide academically enriching experiences and mentoring that prepares students for graduate school admission and eventual doctoral study. Learn more about McNair opportunities and how to apply for the program.

Faculty Research

Scholar Works

A service of the Brackett Library, Scholar Works houses scholarship, publications, archives and creative works of the Harding academic community including faculty and current students. Browse historical records, publish content or conduct research with collections organized by author, college or special collection.

ScholarSip, an annual reception hosted by the Provost Office and Brackett Library, recognizes the rich body of works created each year by Harding's faculty. Faculty with published creative or scholarly works appropriate to their discipline are invited to participate in the recognition, as the faculty body comes together to acknowledge and celebrate scholarship.

Faculty Gallery

An extension of Scholar Works, the Faculty Gallery focuses on faculty scholarship in chosen disciplines. Find sources for your own research or connect with colleagues in your field.

Grants and Sponsored Programs

The Office of Grants at Harding provides support to faculty and staff that are seeking external funding opportunities or currently managing grants.

Institutional Review Board

Harding's Institutional Review Board, composed of several highly qualified faculty and community members, is responsible for the review, evaluation and approval of research project proposals from current students, staff or faculty. Learn more about details of the review process and access review request forms.
