Study Abroad

Scholars Abroad is a two-week program (tentative dates June 2-17) designed for students entering their freshman year of college. The beginning of the program is based in Porto Rafti, Greece, where students will reside and study in our Harding-owned apartment-style resort. Group tours in Greece are being planned for Athens, Corinth, Delphi, Sounion and Meteora. In addition to mainland Greece, the group will spend a few days visiting another location that is yet to be determined. In years past, it has been a Greek island or Rome, Italy.

Students will automatically be enrolled in and earn three hours of college credit from BHIS 1040 - Mediterranean World. This course qualifies as a semester of Bible. (Harding University students are exempt from a Bible class once they pass eight semesters of Bible and have fulfilled the Liberal Arts Spiritual and Moral Values requirement. A Bible class worth two or more credit hours in the summer equates to a semester of Bible.)
