Scholars Abroad is a two-week program (May 29 - June 12, 2024) designed for students entering their freshman year of college. The program is based in Porto Rafti, Greece, where students will reside and study in our Harding-owned apartment-style resort. Group tours in Greece are being planned for Athens, Corinth, Delphi, Sounion and Meteora.

Students will travel as a group from Searcy on May 29th, and return to Harding's campus in Searcy on June 12th. Scholars Abroad students will receive priority enrollment in Bison Bound I (June 13-14, 2024). Accommodations in Searcy on the nights of May 28th and June 12-13th, and airport shuttles on May 28th and June 14, are included in the cost of the Scholars Abroad and Bison Bound programs. Students are responsible for arranging their own travel to Searcy on May 28th and travel home after Bison Bound on June 14th.

Students will automatically be enrolled in and earn three hours of college credit from BHIS 1040 - Mediterranean World. This course qualifies as a semester of Bible. (Harding University students are exempt from a Bible class once they pass eight semesters of Bible and have fulfilled the Liberal Arts Spiritual and Moral Values requirement. A Bible class worth two or more credit hours in the summer equates to a semester of Bible.)

2024 Program Cost: $4,845.

$500 application fee due at time of application

$2000 payment due October 28, 2023

$2345 payment due February 29, 2024
