Harding Provost Office Accreditation page

Harding University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (312-263-0456 or 800-621-7440). Harding also maintains specialized accreditation for its programs as appropriate to its educational purposes and has more than 50 degrees/majors offered by colleges, departments and programs that have specialized accreditation.

College Navigator is a free consumer information tool that guides, leads and directs students, parents, high school counselors and other interested parties to information about higher education institutions. The primary data source for College Navigator is the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).

Harding University takes very seriously complaints and concerns regarding the institution. Most complaints or concerns of a specific nature should be initiated and resolved at the campus level through normal University processes whenever possible. An email address (consumerinfo@harding.edu) and a toll free number (844-678-2777) are available to help a student understand the process for filing a complaint. The university has an official complaint policy as well as a formal complaint form.

Complaints associated with the institution’s compliance with academic program quality and accrediting standards may be directed to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) following their complaint process which is published at www.hlcommission.org/HLC-Institutions/complaints.html.

Students enrolled in Harding postsecondary distance education (e.g., online courses, clinical placements, etc.) must follow Harding’s published student grievance process before contacting the Arkansas Division of Higher Education (ADHE). Grievances regarding student grades or conduct violations are governed entirely by institutional policy and Arkansas law and will not be considered by ADHE. If a student must report an unresolved grievance, the student may complete the student complaint form at www.adhe.edu/students-parents/colleges-universites/student-grievance-form. Resolutions by ADHE are final. Students must submit a written grievance to ADHE using the form. The grievant also must provide written documentation from the college/university verifying that the institution’s appeal process has been followed.

Federal Financial Aid Cost of Attendance

The Office of Disability Services and Educational Access is located in Room 239 of the Student Center on the Harding University Searcy campus. In order to seek accommodations, students must self-identify with the Office of Disability Services and Educational Access on the Searcy campus by using the appropriate forms found in the Disability Services section of Pipeline. Students are encouraged to follow-up with the office of Disability Services, if they have not received a follow-up email within 7 business days or for any further information.

Special Circumstances: If you and/or your family have experienced a recent job loss or a significant reduction in income and you have already filed the FAFSA, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 501-279-4257 or email finaid@harding.edu. The Office of Financial Aid can simulate such situations to determine if filing a special circumstance to adjust your FAFSA data would result in a change to your financial aid awards.

Refund Policy: Refunds are based on a schedule determined by date of withdrawal.

Withdrawal Procedure: The registration and withdrawal procedures are detailed in the University catalog.

Return of Federal Aid Funds (Title IV):  Students who receive Title IV financial aid (federal loans, federal grants, etc.) and withdraw, drop out, or are dismissed are subject to a calculation to determine the amount of federal aid that was “earned” and “unearned” for the semester. Students should contact the Harding University Financial Aid office for assistance.

Admissions Information for Transfer Students

Transfer Student information 

Course Equivalency: Transfer Evaluation System (TES) will assist students in determining how credits earned at another institution will apply at Harding.

Prospective transfer students who wish to inquire about courses already taken or planned to take should email the Transfer Coordinator at transfer@harding.edu.

Articulation agreements for transfer students: A 2+2 agreement allows a seamless transfer experience from a two-year college to a bachelor's degree program at Harding for students who have earned an associate degree in a qualifying major from a partnering institution.

Military Affiliated transfer students, including active personnel, veterans, and ROTC students may be eligible for awarded university credit. Detailed information is available in the University Catalog.
