Opportunities abound for cultural growth through participation in music and drama productions, art shows, lectures, and special events. There are also more than 50 student organizations, including professional clubs, social clubs, honor societies, athletic teams and special-interest organizations which offer social and recreational opportunities as a part of the total educational process.
The Office of Student Life is responsible for the overview of student activities which includes residential life, personal and social wellness, academic efforts, and emotional and spiritual wellness. Other student needs are met through programs designed to assist students in choosing majors and planning careers, individual counseling, and specific health issues.

To provide an environment that both supports students and challenges them to realize their full potential.
Multicultural Student Services
Harding’s mission is to provide a quality education that will lead to an understanding and philosophy of life consistent with Christian ideals. One of the goals of the institution is the promotion of citizenship within a global perspective. The Office of Multicultural Student Services operates in conjunction with the overall mission and goals of the university by assisting in the academic and personal growth and development of the various minority groups on campus. The office promotes access to, rather than exclusion from, academic, social and recreational groups and activities. Intentional social interaction is encouraged rather than passive social isolation and segregation. In addition, this office provides educational efforts for both majority and minority students that focus on awareness of cultural differences self-assessment of cultural awareness and possible prejudices and changing prejudicial attitudes or behaviors.
Most of the programming for the Office of Multicultural Student Services is done by a student organization called the Multicultural Student Action Committee. This energetic and creative group of students meets regularly and is instrumental in involving a large percentage of our minority students in campus life.
