There are two levels of Honors College recognition at graduation.
1. Honors College Graduates with Distinction
Honors Scholars and students can graduate from the Honors College with Distinction by maintaining a 3.5 GPA and completing 26 hours of honors credits from the curriculum described below. Students must earn an A or B in honors courses to be counted toward the graduation recognition requirements. Honors courses completed prior to the first semester of full-time enrollment do not apply toward honors graduation recognition requirements.
The official university transcript and diploma will indicate the achievement of the Graduate with Distinction. Students will be awarded an engraved medallion at the Honors College Medallion Ceremony.

- HNRS 4360-4361 (0-1) - Honors Capstone Preparation
- HNRS 4460-4463 (0-3) - Honors Senior Capstone Project
- At least four Honors Contracts or graduate-level courses as approved by the Honors College
Required for Honors Scholars (National Merit Semifinalists and Finalists, Trustee Scholars, and other students in the College Board's Recognition programs)
- HNRS 2020 (3) - Life and Teachings of Jesus (Gospels)
Choose at least one course
- HNRS 2021 (2) - Faith and Mission of the Church (Acts Through Revelation)
- HNRS 2022 (2) - Creation and Kingdom (Genesis Through Esther)
- HNRS 2023 (2) - Wisdom and Prophets (Job Through Malachi)
- HNRS 4590 (3) - Seminar in Ethics
Choose at least two courses
- HNRS 2010 (3) - Communication and Critical Thinking (meets one of the following requirements in the Liberal Arts: COMM 1010, ENG 1110, or ENG 2110)
- HNRS 2030 (3) - The Big Questions (meets one of the following requirements in the Liberal Arts: ART 1010, THEA 1010, MUS 1010-1015, ENG 2010, ENG 2020, HIST 2100, or HIST 2110)
- HNRS 2040 (3) - Social Systems (meets one of the following requirements in the Liberal Arts: ECON 2010, POLS 1787, PSY 2010, SOC 2030, or global perspective)
- HNRS 2050 (3) - The Physical World (meets one of the following requirements in the Liberal Arts: BIOL 1100, MATH 1200, PHS 1010,PHS 1020/1020L, PHSY 1030, PHS 1050, or PHS 1060)
- HNRS 4750-4756 (0-3) - Selected Topics
2. Honors College Graduates
Honors Scholars and students can graduate from the Honors College by maintaining a 3.25 GPA and completing 20 hours of honors credits from the curriculum described below. Students must earn an A or B in honors courses to be counted toward the graduation recognition requirements. Honors courses completed prior to the first semester of full-time enrollment do not apply toward honors graduation recognition requirements.
The official university transcript and diploma will indicate the achievement of the Honors College Graduate. Students achieving this goal will be awarded an Honors College cord to wear at the Commencement Ceremony.
